Brushing your child’s teeth easier

You hated it as a child and there is no wondering if your young ones hate it too. More than often, children do not like brushing their teeth. Of course, they do not understand the importance of maintaining appropriate oral health. But you do. So it is only advisable that you make your child brush his/ her teeth everyday. Here are some tips that will make the process easier.

One of the easiest and the best things that you can do to make your child brush hiss teeth are choosing appropriate toothpaste. These days, there are number of toothpastes available in the market in a variety of flavors. You can choose from bubble gum, guava, strawberry and so many more. Go in for toothpastes that come in fancy bottles and glitter colors. Interesting toothpastes will make your child forget that he/ she dislikes brushing.

Besides choosing the right toothpaste, you can also choose an enjoyable toothbrush for your child. These days, there are numerous toy shaped toothbrush available in the market. Go in for a toothbrush with a funky shape or a color that your child likes.

How about arranging a brushing competition for your child? Silly as it may sound, but your child is going to like it for sure. You could have your child racing against either his mom or dad to brush his teeth. But make sure that the race should not be time bound else your child will not brush his teeth properly. The results of the competition should be evaluated on the basis of quality as well.

Rewarding your child is another thing that you can do to get him to brush regularly. You can keep small rewards for your child like extra fifteen minutes of carton watching, a candy and the like. These rewards will motivate your child to brush on a regular basis. But remember that the idea is to motivate your child and not spoil him.

It is really not easy to make toddlers brush their teeth. But with these tips, you can at least make the process a bit easier.
